User Submitted Media: Images, Videos and Articles

WhatsUpMonterey is not the copyright holder of media that users and business owners submit to listings, events, attractions and blog sections - unless it was produced by our in-house content creators. All WhatsUpMonterey self-produced media are owned and copyrighted. You may not use, share or publish our media without our written authorization or special licensing agreement.

Copyright Infringement

If you believe that your copyrights are being infringed and you’d like to have content removed, submit a copyright removal notice or provide notice by other means as specified in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

When you submit a request, make sure that the information provided is true and accurate. Knowingly submitting false infringement notices can result in liability for damages under section 512(f) of the DMCA.

Copyright Removal Requests: Photo/Video/Article

Only the owner of a copyright (or an authorized agent acting on their behalf) can submit a copyright removal request.

If you’re in a photo that someone else took, that doesn't necessarily mean that you're the copyright owner of that photo. Only the owner of a copyright (or an authorized agent acting on their behalf) can submit a copyright removal request.

Trademark Claim Policies

Copyrights and trademarks are two different types of intellectual property. Trademark protects things like brand names and logos from being used in a way that might cause confusion about the source of goods or services in commerce.
