Mecum Auctions to Sponsor Inaugural Monterey Motorsports Festival

Walworth, WI — July 11, 2023—Mecum Auctions, the host of The World’s Largest Collector Car Auction®, will serve as the title sponsor of the inaugural Monterey Motorsports Festival to take place this Aug. 19 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center, offering a tech-focused automotive event for persons of all ages and interests. The Monterey Motorcar Festival will provide a variety of experiences for automotive enthusiasts, with one ticket offering engaging and interactive experiences.

“Our sponsorship of the Monterey Motorsports Festival offers Mecum Auctions the opportunity to enhance our presence in the local community and also to the global collector car community that convenes annually for Monterey Car Week,” said Dave Magers, the CEO of Mecum Auctions. “The event will offer an educational and engaging activity to complement Mecum Monterey 2023.”

The Monterey Motorsports Festival will offer programming and activities in 12 distinct areas including MMF Downtown, MMF Small Business Hall of Fame, MMF Off-Road, MMF Technology Lawns, and MMF for Kids with automotive, motorcycle, bicycle, UTV and ATV displays, new technology displays, workshops and demonstrations, driving simulators, meet-and-greets, international food and beverages, music and other entertainment. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Boys and Girls Club, The Heritage Foundation and Victims of Crime.

A long-time participant in Monterey Car Week through its renowned Daytime Auction (this year held Aug. 17-19 at Monterey Hyatt Regency Hotel & Spa on Del Monte Golf Course), Mecum hosts large-scale collector car auctions all over the country throughout the entire calendar year.
