The Peninsula Hotels’ Signature Events Announces 2023 Dates

Carmel, Calif. (Dec. 19, 2022) – The Peninsula Signature Events has announced the 2023 dates for its four world-class events, which have become the most anticipated motorcycle and automotive gatherings of the year.
 
The beautiful grounds of Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel, Calif., will once again host the popular The Quail Ride on Friday, May 5, and The Quail Motorcycle Gathering on the following day, Saturday, May 6. During the historic Monterey Car Week, the intimately-curated The Quail Rally explores California’s scenic beauty from Monday, August 14, to Wednesday, August 16. The preeminent The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering has become the place to debut OEM vehicles, hypercars, rare motorcars and motorsports vehicles and will celebrate its special 20th anniversary on Friday, August 18.
 
The crown jewel of Monterey Car Week, The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering boasts an eye-popping array of the world’s finest and rarest motorcars. Four featured classes have been selected for the August 18 event, including the 50th anniversary of the 1973 RS Carrera, showcasing one of Porsche’s signature designs. The event will also highlight Porsche’s popular 959 and Bentley’s early 1950s R-Type coupe, as well as a spectacular "Eyes on Giugiaro" class that will feature prototypes, one-offs and production cars, all penned by famed father/son designers Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro. The featured classes will accompany the familiar roster of pre- and post-war classes lining the prestigious golf course of Quail Lodge & Golf Club, including Pre-War Sports and Racing Cars, The Great Ferraris, Post-War Sports Cars 1945-1960, Post-War Racing Cars, Custom Coachwork, The Evolution of the Supercar, Sports and Racing Motorcycles and Post-War Sports Cars 1961-1975.

The 25th The Quail Rally, August 14 to 16, is a two-day drive through the back roads and picturesque vistas of California and the Pacific coastline. Comprised of 40 vintage automobiles from top car collectors and enthusiasts, it is a good drive, with good friends, for a good cause. A limited number of registrations will be offered to the public through an application process, which will be released in February.
 
Two-wheeled machines will be center stage as the 13th annual The Quail Motorcycle Gathering takes over the lush practice range of Quail Lodge & Golf Club on May 6. More than 300 vintage and modern motorcycles, scooters and bicycles will be on display, including 2023 featured classes for Italian and Single motorcycles, 1970s Vintage Muscle and ‘Bring on the Baggers.’ Eleven traditional classes will also celebrate the past, present and future of motorcycling.
 
Motorcycle enthusiasts will kickstart The Quail Motorcycle Gathering with The Quail Ride on Friday, May 5. The 100-mile journey through the backroads of the Monterey Peninsula departs from Quail Lodge and includes lunch and dinner. Vintage and modern motorcycles are welcome!
