Exciting Monterey County Easter Events and Brunches

Monterey County, California is full of joy regardless of the time of year. The spring months, however, are often particularly enjoyable and exciting. If you're looking for great Monterey events during the spring, you can't beat all of the Easter options. Easter in Monterey is all about fantastic eats, fun, fun and more fun.

EASTER BRUNCHES

Carmel

Edgar's Restaurant, at Quail Lodge, is serving delicious Easter Brunch featuring seafood display, assorted salads, an omelette station, breakfast favorites, pan seared salmon, assorted meats carving station, and homemade desserts. Bottomless Mimosas are also available for $18. Two Easter Egg Hunt for kids start after the brunch. $75 for adults, $20 for children (6-12).

Carmel Mission Ranch's Champagne Buffet Brunch, from 10am to 2pm, is another great option featuring carving and hot stations, salad, fruits and deserts. $56 for adults and $25 for children (4-10).

Carmel Valley

Celebrate the arrival of spring with a delicious grand buffet at Bernardus Lodge. Traditional brunch favorites will be paired with Chef Cal Stamenov’s signature cuisine to include an array of fresh organic salads, grilled vegetables, naturally raised meats, oak grilled Pacific salmon, west coast oysters, farmhouse cheeses, fresh fruit tarts and more. Children’s Easter Egg Hunt will be hosted at 11:30am and 2pm. Easter Bunny will be available for pictures throughout the afternoon. $88 for adults and $35 for children (5-12)

Come enjoy a lavish spring holiday buffet at Carmel Valley Ranch's signature Oak and Redwood Rooms and Patios with Chef Wood’s award-winning garden-to-table creations. Indulge in breakfast favorites such as Cinnamon Brioche Toast and Toasted Honey Granola, order eggs any way you like ‘em at the Hen House Egg Station, visit the Ocean Fresh Seafood Bar and Hand Rolled Sushi Station, and savor Chef’s Herb Crusted Lamb Chops and fresh-carved Sea Salt and Garlic Crusted Roasted Prime Rib. Top it all off with an array of Chef Christine’s homemade pastries, breads, and holiday sweet treats. $85 for adults, $40 for children (5 -12), and complimentary for children under 5.

Monterey

Celebrate Easter Sunday with your family and friends inside the De Anza Ballroom at the Portola Hotel & Spa from 10am to 2pm. Brunch buffet include Classic & California Eggs Benedict, Brioche French Toast, Fresh Berries and Whipped Cream, a carving station featuring Spring Lamb Roast with Chimichurri and Maple Glazed Pit Ham. An Easter Egg Hunt for the children and a tableside Magician will provide balloon animals and tricks the entire family will enjoy. While you dine, say hello to the Easter Bunny and listen to live piano played by David Conley from 11am to 2pm. $45.95 for adults, $44.95 for seniors (65+) and $22.95 for children.

TusCA Ristorante is part of the beautiful Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa. Easter brunch buffet, from 11am to 2pm, will surely tantalize your taste buds. This buffet has numerous stations that cover all the bases. If you want to enjoy an Easter meal that's full of delectable omelets, meats, fresh vegetables and seafood, Tusca Ristorante's brunch buffet is matchless. It gives diners an abundance of choices in desserts that can take care of their appetites for sweet treats, too. $64 for adults, $52 for seniors, $26 for children 6-12 and free for children under 5.

One of our personal favorite is The Sardine Factory offering a special four-course prix fixe Easter menu options featuring baked salmon, prime rib, roasted leg of lamb, and filet mignon. You may also order from their regular menu. Brunch starts at 11am to 3pm, $42 per person.

Estéban Restaurant, located at the historic Casa Munras Garden Hotel & Spa, is offering Easter Brunch Breakfast from 9am to 2pm. Savor exquisite specials including Spanish eggs Benedict, bacon almond French toast, New York strip and mimosas. $40 per person.

Revel in Great Easter Foods and Amazing Views of the Ocean

Visit the C Restaurant + Bar on vibrant and legendary Cannery Row in Monterey from 11:30am to 3pm. This restaurant is part of The Intercontinental the Clement Monterey. It hosts a brunch buffet that gives diners access to the finest and most mesmerizing views of the ocean around. If you want to dine on great food and revel in amazing landscapes at the same exact time, things don't get much better than a meal at C Restaurant + Bar. The buffet options at this restaurant are plentiful as well. Diners can feast on chilled seafood, salmon, ham and lamb. $79 for adults and $35 for children ages 5-12

Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa Easter Brunch Buffet in Monterey Bay Ballroom is from 10am to 3pm. Food stations include seafood, omelets, sushi, waffles, roasted prime rib, desserts and more. $67 for adults (12+), $28 for children under 11, and free for children 5 and under.

Pacific Grove

Fandango will serve Easter Brunch from 11:30am to 2:30pm and include fresh salmon, lamb tenderloin, honey glazed baked ham and more. $42.75 for adults (12+) and $18.75 for children under 12.

Seaside

If you feel dining across fabulous golf course views, Seaside's Bayonet and Black Horse Easter Buffet, from 11am to 4pm, is your best option. Buffet includes a build-your-own-omelet station, penne alfredo with shrimp, chicken marsala, pan fried salmon and more. Children can enjoy Easter Bunny's visit is from 11am to 3pm and join the Easter Egg hunt at 12pm or 2pm. $37.95 for adults (13+), $18.95 for children (5-12), and free for children four and under.

 

EGG HUNTS

Easter in Monterey doesn't have to be an expensive affair. There are actually numerous free Monterey events on Easter. If you want to have free Easter fun, you should stop by Pacific Grove Golf Links in scenic Pacific Grove. This acclaimed golf course organizes an amazing Easter egg hunt that also happens to be 100 percent free. Children are sure to have a blast. This hunt will give them the chance to enthusiastically look for countless beautiful eggs all over the vast course.

Nothing epitomizes the Easter spirit better than a good old-fashioned egg hunt. On March 31 from 11am to 1pm, people who have children may want to take them to the Oldemeyer Center in Seaside, home to the exciting Annual Golden Egg Hunt. Highlights of the event include a petting zoo, crafts and bounce houses.

Hippity-Hop on down to the City of Monterey’s Annual Spring Egg Hunt, held Saturday, March 31, at Jacks Ballpark across from the Monterey Sports Center. Children, tots through third grade, are invited to take part in the Easter Egg-citement festivities. The hunt begins promptly at 10am with over seven thousand eggs will be hidden; one hundred of the eggs have been deemed as “prize” eggs. Lots of prizes and fun for all ages! Arrive early and enjoy face painting, Bunny photos and a visit from the Wheelie Mobilee.

Monterey County Youth Museum invites you to head on over for a hoppin' Saturday afternoon of family fun on March 31, 1pm-2:30pm. Face painting, an "EGG-straordinary" scavenger hunt, and pictures with the MY Museum Bunny! Get ready to shake your cotton tail and have a great time with your favorite little ones. Admission to this event is included with regular admission to the museum.
