Carmel Plaza stores are offering door buster sales with select stores opening at 8am and closing late.

Celebrate the holidays amidst Monterey Bay's coastline at Ice Skating by the Bay's seasonal ice skating rink located in Custom House Plaza behind Portola Hotel & Spa. Skaters can spend the day in a winter wonderland right by the Bay.

Outdoor Activities

Pending weather conditions, there are plentiful and varied outdoor activities options. From cycling, hiking, mountain climbing and animal watching. It doesn't matter if you have an adventurous streak or if you prefer activities that a bit more low-key and relaxed. Monterey's choices in recreation are abundant. 

Biking the scenic 17-Mile Drive is highly recommended for amateurs and pros, kids and adults alike. You can start off you self or guided tour from Pacific Grove's Lovers Point Beach and up to Pebble Beach. Pacific Grove Adventures offers various bike types and models to fit all riders needs. From beach cruisers to fun electric bikes, they got you covered!

Various restaurants in Carmel, Monterey and Pacific Grove will offer delicious thanksgiving dinners and plenty of wine.

Head to Portola Hotel & Spa in grand ballroom for a traditional Thanksgiving feast the entire family will enjoy from 12-7pm. Indulge in a spectacular display of California cheeses and cured meats, peel and eat shrimp, carved to order turkey, prime rib and maple glazed country ham, whipped potatoes, candied garnet yams and more including a decadent dessert display with classic pecan and pumpkin pie. Adults $64.95 | Seniors $49.95 (65 or older) | Children $25.95 (ages 6-12).

Estéban Restaurant at the historic Casa Munras Garden Hotel & Spa is hosting a delicious four-course Thanksgiving dinner. Expect delicious bites such as roasted turkey, brioche stuffing, apple tart and more. Dinner is served from 3-8:30pm. Adults $70 | Children Under 12 $30. Thanksgiving feast to-go is also available.

TusCA Ristorante located at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa will serve an incredible Thanksgiving Day Buffet with lively Jazz music. Reservations from 1-5pm. Adults $60 | Children $26 age 6-12 | Children age 5 and under eat free. Three-course prix fixe dinner menu is available from 6-9pm for $45.

For a French and Mediterranean flare, Fandango's Thanksgiving menu is your best choice with duckling pate, basque salad and a choice of entrees including roasted turkey, lamb tenderloin, grilled salmon, honey glazed baked ham, tortellini and a variety of traditional desserts. 12-8pm. Join us for the annual Holiday Tree Lighting on Cannery Row! This free event is a fun tradition for the whole family – featuring Christmas Carolers, Santa’s Reindeer and of course, Santa Claus himself!

Broadway avenue in downtown Seaside comes alive each Saturday from 10am-2pm with its Certified Farmer's Market. From fresh food, seasonal flowers and fun activities, you'll sure enjoy this local farmers market. Make sure to watch for special pop-up features like cooking demos, healthy living outreach and more.

Grab your favorite team jersey and friends, from 9:30-11am, and head to Peter B's Brewpub! Watch your favorite teams play on 18 HDTV’s while you enjoy $5 pints or mimosa, $6 Bloody Mary, $9 Tito's Brewer Bloody Mary, and $8 Breakfast Specials.

For the nature lovers, you can celebrate the return of Pacific Grove's monarch butterfly population during Magnificent Monarchs from 10am to 3pm at the Pacific Grove Museum.

Families and children of all ages can have an early visit with Santa for FREE at Steinbeck Plaza on Cannery Row from 12pm-4pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday, December 1

Come to the festive Salinas Holiday Parade of Lights where over 70 lit-up entrants including marching bands, floats, dancers and classic cars take to the streets of Oldtown Salinas at 6pm.

You can also end our weekend at Marina Farmer's Market, on the corner of Vista Del Camino in the Marina Village Shopping Center, which runs year-round rain or shine every Sunday.
